Paintings by Kelly Potter

Kelly Potter attended Olive Elementary School, Hill Middle School and Novato High School. While attending high school she took classes at College of Marin. She also worked her way into a blossoming flight career by paying for flight lessons three times a week through a part time job at California Grill and Rotisserie.

Kelly attended Florida Institute of Technology (Florida Tech) where she earned her B.S. in Aeronautical Science/Aviation Management. She worked as a flight supervisor at Florida Tech assuring outgoing students safe departures. She also worked as a sales associate and also did employee orientation and credit sales coaching. Kelly tutored in subjects as diverse as fiscal management and aviation physiology. She earned her FAA certification as a Flight Instructor in September 2005 just before she became ill with what she thought was the flu.

October 4 Kelly was admitted to the hospital where she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic lymphoma leukemia. She passed away November 27, 2005 at the age of 24. She left behind a wealth of paintings, short stories and poetry. We hope you enjoy her paintings on display, just some of the more than 40 acrylics that she did.
